FEBRUARY, 2020 MONTHLY LUNCHEON

Novelty Senior Citizens met Thursday, February 6, 2020, for the monthly luncheon.  Those present were Judith, Diana, Marsha, Dorothy, Denis, and Phyllis who took blood pressures.  Diana led the pledge and Denis gave the blessing for the meal.  All enjoyed the delicious food prepared by those present.  No birthday this month although Marsha had made a chocolate “poke” cake in case any one came to celebrate.

At 1:30, Diana brought the business meeting to order.  Minutes of last month’s meeting were read and approved.  Judith gave the financial report which was also approved.

Unfinished Business:  The center has received the final payment from WAA for those wreaths purchased in 2020.  

New Business:

1.  The WAA kick-off project for 2020 saw 79 wreaths being ordered, which with the promotion, doubles that amount.  Good start for January!

2.  Diana said the center needs to purchase a new snow shovel.  Motion made and passed that when she finds one, we will reimburse her for that amount.  

3.  Judith will make the March birthday cake--and we do have at least one birthday that month.  Tuesday coffee makers were assigned.  February 11--Diana; Feb 188--Donna Faye, Feb. 25--Judith; March 3--Marsha.  Next luncheon will be Thursday, March 5.
