...the day was gorgeous, wreaths MIA and the ceremony wonderful!

The Wreaths Across America ceremony held on Saturday,
December 16, 2017, was beautiful.

Off script remarks, made by
Lt. Col. (Ret) Keith Gudehus, were intended
to make us think about each
other and our part in this community.

2017 is "I'm an American.  Yes, I am."
Whatever happened to helping one another, being
there for someone else, or simply doing random acts
of kindness without expecting something in return?
This message rings true for our community.

Even though the wreaths for Knox County cemeteries
are delayed, until sometime this next week, the ceremony
went very well.

Wreaths were presented for all branches of the military.

Men, who represent different facets of the community,
laid a wreath during the ceremony.

The ceremony was recorded by Echo Menges of the Edina Sentinel. Thank you, Echo! It may be viewed on nemonews.net.

If you would like to help lay wreaths please contact Kent Franke. Call or text and have your name added to the list of volunteers.

CHRISTMAS COFFEE..with FCE

On Tuesday morning, December 12th, the coffee ladies enjoyed guests.  The Green Acres FCE (family and community education) group brought Christmas treats to share with the ladies.  From a breakfast casserole, to fruit, cookies, and candy, the food was yummy, and the visiting with friends even more special..and of course, our hot tea and coffee is always delicious!    Thank you, Green Acres, for sharing your December meeting with us!
